Work Location : Toronto, ON - Remote-First

Compensation : $41-43.50 per hour. This role is eligible to participate in our profit-sharing bonus and benefits programs.

Reports to : Leadership

Employment Type : This is a 12-month full-time fixed-term employment contract role. Based on the project needs and other various factors, there is a possibility for extension.

Your Role
As Metrix continues to grow and our industry is increasingly disrupted by technology and innovation, we're looking for someone to contribute to our client-facing medical writing team.

We're looking for someone who is a strong project manager and medical writer with a passion for communicating in a corporate setting. You're interested in the learning and development & healthcare marketing fields, get excited about consulting to clients, and have an eye for all-things design. You're business and technology savvy, solutions-focused, and hope to quickly grow your

career by taking on increasingly complex project management and leadership roles.

As a Medical Writer & Project Lead, you'll be leading projects and the respective teams, as well as writing, editing, and QAing scientific content in the healthcare space. You'll have experience

consulting to professionals in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, managing project timelines and budgets, and be comfortable working with clients (many of them senior at their organizations). You will

have demonstrated problem-solving skills, and an aptitude for navigating ambiguity.

Through your client-focus and commitment to excellence, you will ensure that our deliverables help each client meet their objectives. You'll have some experience managing project teams. You do

have experience medical writing, and while direct experience in the Learning & Development industry is an asset, it is not required.

What You'll be doing

Consult and Build Relationships with Clients
• Understand and identify each client's requirements, and provide them with recommendations for their learning and development initiatives
• Consult with clients on materials design, development, and deployment
• Contribute to business development initiatives when necessary, through identifying opportunities, writing proposals, and participating in or leading sales presentations
• Lead project team meetings both internally and externally
• Provide advice and solutions to client challenges and internally to Metrix Group

Project Management
• Work with clients and team members to identify and agree on project goals, roles, responsibilities, timelines, work effort and risk mitigation
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and project-scope, ensuring budgets are adhered to and scope creep is minimal
• Act as a single point of contact for project leader in client organization
• Follow company best processes, practices and tools and support usage within the project team

Design & Develop Client Solutions
• Manage your project team's performance throughout the project life cycle (often managing multiple projects at a time)
• Design and develop client learning solutions for a range of therapeutic areas and target audiences
• Ensure referencing is complete to client and regulatory standards
• Ensure overall quality of work in terms of accuracy, consistency, writing style and visual design
• Interpret and incorporate feedback from colleagues and clients

Leadership, Coaching, and Collaboration
• Oversee and provide leadership to your direct reports (if applicable), project team, and peers, through leading, coaching and consulting
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Demonstrate visible commitment to Metrix's mission, vision, values, and business goals

Your qualifications

• Master's Degree in the life sciences required
• AMWA membership an asset
• 3-5 years in a medical communications or medical marketing agency; experience coaching and managing people
• Expertise and experience in project and client management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, and to work independently and collaborate in a high-performance team environment with demanding deadlines
• Demonstrated skills in critical thinking and Design Thinking practices
• Experience working with or consulting to large or complex organizations
• Demonstrated ability navigating ambiguity and problem-solving capabilities

Compensation

$41.00 - $43.50 per hour
