Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical, or Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
• OR Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology or science courses ideally including Chemistry and Biology.
• Completion of a clinical laboratory training program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP, or equivalent training.
• At least 3 months of documented laboratory training in each specialty where testing is performed.
• Qualified as high-complexity testing personnel in a CLIA-certified lab before April 24, 1995, with continuous relevant practice.

Responsibilities

• Handles and resolves customer inquiries and complaints regarding lab results and test requirements.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by adhering to lab, hospital, and regulatory policies.
• Generates and reports results for accurate diagnoses and prognoses that impact patient care.
• Utilizes critical thinking and independent judgment to interpret data effectively.
• Manages laboratory computer systems to ensure seamless operation.
• Ensures accurate and timely result reporting, including documentation of critical findings.
• Participates in training and orientation for new associates and students.
