Your Role:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based role responsible for providing external and internal stakeholders with medical and scientific information on the appropriate use of LEO products, as well as broader insights into the therapeutic area and disease state. The MSL will develop and execute Medical Sciences and KOL Engagement Plans, proactively building KOL support through a scientific approach aligned with commercial strategy and therapeutic area objectives, while serving as a credible and valued scientific resource for LEO Pharma across their assigned region.

This is a field-based role, covering our greater Ontario territory.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide regional scientific leadership through credible scientific engagement with Dermatology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), building and maintaining strong relationships that support LEO products.

  • Develop and execute KOL Engagement Plans, including KOL identification, segmentation, and tailored engagement strategies aligned with therapeutic area objectives and commercial strategy.

  • Serve as a trusted source of balanced medical and scientific information for healthcare professionals, addressing scientific inquiries and communicating clinical evidence in a fair and compliant manner.

  • Contribute scientific insights, competitive intelligence, and field perspectives to support Medical Affairs strategy and the Integrated Scientific Affairs Plan (iSAP).

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Patient Solutions, and other cross-functional partners to drive a coordinated approach to stakeholder engagement and scientific exchange.

  • Support clinical research initiatives, including clinical development programs and Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), while helping advance scientific communication through presentations, publications, and educational programs.

  • Maintain expertise in dermatology and LEO products through ongoing review of scientific literature, training, and engagement with the broader scientific community.


Your Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctorate (MD), PhD or Pharm D preferred.

  • Minimum Master's degree in life sciences with a focus on immunology and/or Health care professional background.

  • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare system, disease management and clinical research.

  • Dermatology therapeutic area and market knowledge. Biologics experience considered an asset.

  • Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationship with stakeholders, along with demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Evening and weekend work will be involved.

  • Solid understanding of GCP, IMC Code, and healthcare compliance policies and procedures.

Your New Team:

This role will work closely with the medical and commercial teams in developing a strategic direction for the brand, and will develop an MSL strategic and tactical plan in collaboration with the medical team. It will interact externally with Key Opinion Leaders and other industry stakeholders.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $105,000-125,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
