Base Salary Range: $346,000+
The Medical Director of Interventional Psychiatry (IP) is responsible for advancing Mindpath Health's Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine (Spravato) programs through clinical leadership, operational partnership, clinician engagement, and strategic program development. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this physician leader serves as the organization's subject matter expert for Interventional Psychiatry services and a key ambassador within the community and industry. Partnering closely with clinical and operational leadership, the Medical Director ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, supports improved patient outcomes and access, expands referral networks, optimizes program performance and chair utilization, and drives growth initiatives across the organization. The role also provides education and mentorship to clinicians and staff, monitors emerging research and industry trends, and represents Mindpath Health at professional meetings and conferences. In addition to administrative and leadership responsibilities, the Medical Director maintains an active clinical practice,
dedicating approximately 50% of their time to direct patient care.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Clinical Leadership for TMS and Esketamine services, ensuring evidence-based care and program excellence.
- Drive referral development initiatives through provider outreach, relationship-building, case consultation, educational presentations, and community engagement.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to improve patient access, provider engagement, referral development, workflow efficiency, and program performance.
- Educate, mentor, and support physicians, APPs, and clinical staff while serving as a clinical thought leader internally and externally.
- Support quality, compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts while staying current on emerging treatments, research, reimbursement trends, and regulatory developments.
- Lead growth and expansion initiatives, including business development opportunities, new service offerings, and scalable operational solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in general Psychiatry
- Active unrestricted medical license in good standing in CA
- Active DEA registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in application in applicable states, as required by the role
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical and operational
- Experience in clinical program development, clinician engagement, or clinical leadership
- Experience providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy, Esketamine, or Interventional Psychiatry services
Preferred:
- Ability to travel as needed for provider engagement, site visits, conferences, and organizational initiatives
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence bothclinical and operational stakeholders
- Passion for innovation and advancing evidence-based Interventional Psychiatry treatment models
- Knowledge of operational workflows, access management, utilization strategies, and growth initiativeswithin outpatient behavioral health settings preferred
