Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
- Direct statewide operations and oversight of the Non-Long Term Care/Long-Term Care Complaint Program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review, evaluate, and resolve healthcare facility complaints by analyzing investigative findings and determining regulatory compliance.
- Make licensing, certification, enforcement, and sanction recommendations based on comprehensive reviews of provider documentation, investigations, and applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain program policies, procedures, and operational plans to support effective complaint investigations and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and regulatory interpretation to healthcare providers, consumers, government agencies, and other stakeholders regarding licensing and certification requirements.
- Consult with healthcare facility leadership to promote compliance with state and federal standards and review corrective action plans to ensure deficiencies are resolved.
- Represent the Louisiana Department of Health at hearings, conferences, committee meetings, and with state, federal, and professional organizations as the program's subject matter expert.
