Salary Range: $73,897.00- $118,515.00 AnnuallyHiring Salary Range: $73,897.00- $ 118,515.00 AnnuallyCLASS DEFINITIONA Media Producer/Director II creates and oversees the production of a wide variety of multi-media programs for City agencies. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek subject to evenings and weekend work as required. Work is performed in a studio or on a production site where normal working conditions are encountered. Work requires minimum physical exertion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSOn or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:EDUCATION: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
ANDEXPERIENCE: Have three years of experience in producing and directing multi-media programs and productions.
ORNOTE EQUIVALENCIES: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES: Have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or an equivalent out-of-state driver's license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management is required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Knowledge of radio and television production techniques and theories.
- Knowledge of computerized video-editing systems.
- Knowledge of current radio and television production equipment.
- Knowledge multi-track audio recording and editing techniques.
- Ability to write scripts.
- Ability to assign, review and critique the work of subordinate staff.
- Ability to produce, direct and edit broadcast programming.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with City agency personnel and officials.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to prepare budgets for individual projects.

Probation All people, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory one year probation.
