Mechanical Systems Engineer ONSITE in Berkeley, CADomain-Specific Skills- Mechanical and electromechanical system architecture, functional decomposition, and interface management.
- Requirements analysis for structures, fluids, thermal systems, sensors, pumps, heaters, and electrical isolation.
- Trade studies balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and revalidation impact.
- Verification and validation planning across subsystems and staged product changes.
Key Responsibilities- Define system and subsystem requirements, boundaries, assumptions, and interfaces.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluids, materials, manufacturing, supplier, and CAE inputs.
- Lead system trade studies and document technical rationale, risks, and implementation constraints.
- Assess backward compatibility and revalidation impacts of proposed changes.
- Develop verification plans, requirement traceability, and phased implementation recommendations.
Required Skills / Experience- 5+ years of systems, mechanical systems, product integration, or multidisciplinary design experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Experience writing requirements, managing interfaces, conducting trade studies, and planning verification.
- Ability to communicate across specialized engineering disciplines.
Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000/KThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
