Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Support released products through troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, engineering changes, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and production personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support product validation, qualification, and reliability testing.
- Develop and improve fixtures, tooling, assembly methods, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate alternative materials, components, suppliers, and manufacturing methods.
- Support quality investigations, customer returns, and corrective action activities.
- Implement engineering changes through established ECO/ECN processes.
- Participate in product design reviews and cross-functional engineering activities.
- Contribute to new product development projects, prototype builds, testing, and product introduction activities.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial products, or related environments.
- Experience with SolidWorks, 3D CAD and engineering drawing creation.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication methods, GD&T, tolerancing, inspection techniques, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Deep understanding of tools used for mechanical tolerance checks.
- Experience supporting tooling, fixtures, test equipment, or production aids.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and BOM management.
- Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welded assemblies, plastics, sealing methods, or pressure-containing hardware.
- Experience supporting production environments and engineering change activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, procedures, and illustrated service or manufacturing documents.
- Versed on Microsoft Office 365 Tools
Preferred Qualifications - At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing, instrumentation, industrial products, or related environments.
- Experience with thermal mass flow meters, process instrumentation, gas flow measurement, or industrial sensors.
- Basic understanding of electronics packaging, sensors, or electromechanical products.
- Experience with supplier qualification, reliability improvement, or cost-reduction programs.
- Experience with compliance agencies, internal audits, and external audits.
Physical Demands: - Physical Demand(s): Can lift up to 25lbs, sit and stand for reasonable periods of time.
- Visual Demands: Must be able to look at a computer monitor for extended periods.
- Manufacturing Environment: Must be able to work in a manufacturing company, which may involve exposure to machinery, noise, and other industrial conditions.
Pay Transparency: We are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this position is
$104,100 - $125,000 depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
