The Role
We are currently looking to add an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to our Midstream division on various industrial Mechanical construction projects in the NE Alberta and Edmonton area.

Job Duties /Responsibilities
- Onsite Project based and shift as per client / project requirements
- Communicate with the team through daily safety meetings
- Supervise crew and subcontractor tasks
- Maintain regular contact with client representatives on contract issues, schedule, delivery and technical issues
- Drive cost-effective strategies in the field
- Hire and assign construction workers to each project scope
- Participate in site safety toolbox meetings
- Coordinate construction services and activities
- Maintain construction schedule and make changes as necessary to ensure milestones are met
- Assist with estimates for project scope of work, including labor, supplies, materials and other costs
- Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations.

Experience/Skils/Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 + years in mechanical construction, industrial maintenance or similar fields
- At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
- Good computer skills required. e.g Bluebeam, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, google calendar. We are a Google based company.
- A demonstrated background in team leadership with a focus on worksite safety.
- Strong construction knowledge to plan and forecast manpower, material and subcontractors.
- Highly effective client relations, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders.
- A natural leader and mentor that isn't afraid to get on the tools when needed to train and lead by example.
- Other beneficial certificates (H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space)
- Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
