Job Brief.

Our team is looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Superintendent to lead on-site mechanical construction activities and ensure project success. This role involves managing mechanical crews and coordinating with project teams-including Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Personnel-to deliver projects that meet safety, quality, and budgetary targets.

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of various piping systems and process equipment including supervising work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Manage project activities to align with the overall project schedule.
  • Provide foresight with a 4-week look ahead plan to coordinate upcoming tasks.
  • Oversee material orders, ensuring inventory is accurate and defect-free.
  • Manage equipment logistics, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance.
  • Lead and mentor crews, sometimes working hands-on alongside them.
  • Proactively manage project risks and implement solutions.
  • Lead daily safety briefings and weekly jobsite safety meetings.
  • Coordinate inspections and manage the resolution of any deficiencies.
  • Maintain high standards of tradesmanship, ensuring all crew members are proficient in their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental protocols.
  • Maintain certifications in OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant safety trainings.

Skills You Possess.

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Superintendent in water/wastewater treatment, industrial projects, or similar fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various piping systems and mechanical construction processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management software.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
