Position Purpose: Our Engineering Services division of Leadec is seeking a Mechanical Project Superintendent to manage day-to-day oversight of supervision of all field projects including, but not limited to:
- Body & Assembly Automation projects
- Powertrain Automation projects
- OEM installation projects
- Structural steel and mezzanine design, manufacture and installation
- Conveyor design, manufacture and installation
- Mechanical & Electrical installation
- Robot and PLC programming
- Project Management services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Ensure that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards.
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

- Must have mechanical trades experience of the following industrial trades, rigging, pipefitting, pipe welding, ductwork, equipment relocations, structural welding, mechanical fabrications, machine assemblies.
Position Qualifications:
- 10+ years' experience working in industrial trade and able to perform all craft disciplines as outlined above.
- 8+ years' experience as a project superintendent with 15 years of total construction experience.
- Previous experience in construction management.
- Previous experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level vary greatly). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
