What You9ll Be Doing You assist the Engineering Manager by coordinating daily engineering activities and providing technical leadership for centrifuge fabrication equipment and facility expansion systems. You help oversee the development, installation, modification, and optimization of specialized fabrication tools and supporting infrastructure-always ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, nuclear handling, and security requirements.
Your work includes supporting troubleshooting and system reliability improvements, contributing to project schedules, cost estimates, technical specifications, and procurement packages, and engaging in reviews, hazard analyses, and readiness evaluations. You help validate engineering documentation, monitor contractor and vendor performance, and keep senior leadership informed on system performance, project progress, and engineering risks.
We9d Love to Hear from Candidates with - Bachelor9s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering
- 5-10 years of engineering experience in advanced equipment design, fabrication systems, or regulated environments
- Experience leading engineering projects or small technical teams
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, rotating machinery, tooling systems, or production equipment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
A Successful Candidate Brings - Master9s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering
- Experience with centrifuge fabrication equipment, custom process systems, or facility expansion projects
- Background in DOE, NNSA, aerospace, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with standards such as ASME, ANSI, or NQA-1
Pay Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $94,223- $157,038. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates9 key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
