Mechanical Project Engineer (Water & Wastewater Systems)

As our Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering support for new and ongoing projects and products in the water and waste treatment industry. This position will play an instrumental role in building up our Engineering program and helping design and execute our water and wastewater treatment technologies and the implementation of existing technologies into intelligently designed systems.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and assist in mechanical system design per internal and customer specifications of all Triplepoint solutions.
  • Perform calculations and equipment sizing to support new and ongoing projects.
  • Produce and manage, in a timely fashion, engineering drawings, specs, bid packages, calculations and bills of material to achieve successful project execution.
  • Support the production team with manufacturing improvements and quality assurance.
  • Provide engineering support for critical supply chain and vendor management processes.
  • Collect and analyze data from the field, laboratories and our customers and report findings.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, the Service and Field Support group, the Production team, Engineers, and our suppliers to accurately execute projects on-time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with R&D team to develop new products and technologies.
  • Work in the shop and in the field to build, install, test, and maintain our standard products in site specific configurations and systems.
  • Provide technical support during the sales phase as well as during start-up and warranty period for all projects.
  • Provide additional project management and technical services for various engineering projects and activities.
  • Provide CAD, 3D computer modeling, and data analysis support as needed.

What you Bring:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in an Engineering role Experience in mechanical systems & design, product development, project management and execution, technical support.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
  • Mastery of MS Excel and Word
  • Preferred: experience in:
  • Mechanical Design, Instrumentation and Controls
    • 2 years experience in the Water or Wastewater Treatment industry or similar
    • Fluid Process Control Experience

This is an onsite role based in Centennial, CO
  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items.
  • Ability to perform sedentary work and to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, and reaching as needed to perform typical office tasks.
  • Ability to safely move through a warehouse setting, including intermittent standing, walking, reaching, and handling light materials or equipment as needed.

Travel 10-15%
  • Willingness to travel to vendor sites, conferences, and industry events as needed (Estimated travel at 10-15%).
  • Valid driver's license with ability to drive a vehicle.
