Mechanical Project EngineerMain responsibilities- Manage projects related to rotating and piping equipment from application to completion
- Perform mechanical engineering activities in order to meet the scope of work and to ensure customer satisfaction
- Create conceptual models / specifications / plans following meeting with the client
- Coordinate efforts and complete projects in collaboration with other mechanical engineers and engineers from all disciplines that contribute to the project, architects and project managers
- Work closely with project teams and clients to define the scope of work
- Perform field observations and inspections, assist in the design, commissioning support and Quality Assurance / Testing
- Provide project engineering support to the project management team throughout the project
- Provide accurate cost estimates and resource assessment throughout the project, including the process of bid evaluation
Required qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent training
- Min.10 years' experience in a similar role on industrial projects (mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, etc.)
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment, under pressure systems, rotary, piping and tanks API
- Knowledge of ASME, API
- Ability to motivate teams and build positive relationships with various stakeholders
- Thoroughness, leadership, autonomy and sense of organization
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work on-site in a 14/14 rotation.
