Mechanical Project Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Chicago, IL): Develop advanced systems designs within the mechanical engineering discipline. Prepare project deliverables per the client's intent and scope of work. Provide input and create plans to complete design tasks within the project timeline and budget. Review project deliverables before submitting for review. Identify and report potential roadblocks and complete priorities that may inhibit the ability to maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget. Analyze and interpret technical engineering documents, specifications, technical procedures, and government regulations. Support design of domestic water distribution systems, sanitary and vent systems, and storm water systems. Review sizing and selection of plumbing equipment. Review and edit design drawings using knowledge of nomenclature, design techniques, materials, details, system components, construction techniques, related engineering systems, and building codes. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). Salary range is $123,635 - $140,800 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location. #LI-DNI #GTM

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: REVIT BIM modeling software; Designing domestic water distribution systems; Designing sanitary and vent systems; Designing storm water systems; and Sizing and selecting plumbing equipment.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
