The Cummins Engine and Cooling System Integration Team is part of the Powertrain group in Product Engineering. As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing and developing best-in-class cost effective components and systems for regulatory compliance, fuel economy, durability and reliability.

Position offers a startingsalary range of$71,000 to $91,000USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

Design and develop best in class coolant systems plumbing, tanks, vent lines and third party engine integration hardware by utilizing problem solving techniques to develop quick and effective solutions for any issues in every step of the product development cycle.

Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and GD&T using NX and related tools.

Continuously improve product quality, tools, and processes while staying current with industry developments.

Proactively engage in cost and complexity optimization initiatives.

Promptly respond to Custom Work Orders, Plant Build issues and Customer Field Concerns.

Interface and support other teams including product design, validation engineering, and compliance, manufacturing, sales and marketing

Interact with multi-tier supplier base to ensure conformance of designs to specifications, internal and external customer expectations, engineering practices and government regulations


Knowledge You Should Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with quality

Demonstrated strong verbal and written skills

Understanding of engineering upstream and downstream processes

Proven follow-through and ability to work independently

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Prior experience with DTNA systems (PLATON, IMACS+)

Experience using Siemens NX for solid modeling
