Position DescriptionMercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering team as a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical.
Core Responsibilities- Analyze and update equipment criticality utilizing our established process.
- Audit and develop equipment maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Plan, manage and execute asset inspection and high value maintenance projects.
- Plan, manage and execute maintenance of business CAPEX projects.
- Support production, maintenance and project teams as the equipment subject matter expert.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions.
- Provide input to long term and annual business plans.
Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered with a Canadian Engineering Association (EGBC, APEGA, PEO, etc.) as a P.Eng.
- Several years experience in the maintenance area with knowledge of best maintenance practices.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work activities with input from a wide cross-section of individuals within the organization.
- Familiarity with NBIC, API, and ASME codes and standards.

- The Salary Range for this position is $92,000 - $158,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
