This role converts defined architectures, requirements, and standards into build ready designs and supports project delivery through iterations, documentation, and test readiness.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate defined system concepts, requirements, and constraints into accurate, manufacturable mechanical designs.
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for TCL components and sub-assemblies (e.g., valve trains, headers, spools, expansion tanks, support brackets, drip trays, and mounting hardware) based on established architectures and requirements.
  • Responsible for executing and documenting mechanical and fluid calculations to support detailed TCL design.
  • Create and maintain 3D part and assembly models and 2D fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings using SolidWorks & Revit BIM, ensuring models and drawings are complete, accurate, and manufacturable.
  • Produce supporting mechanical documentation such as P&IDs, piping routing drawings, and interface details in accordance with requirements and design intent.
  • Oversee the building and testing of TCL prototypes, run experiments, collect data, and refine designs based on the results to achieve the desired thermal and mechanical performance.
  • Support install/commissioning readiness by defining mounting/bracketing, mechanical loading/moments/alignment requirements at connection ports, and site execution assumptions.
  • Support production and field issues, including on-site, through deep system level troubleshooting and corrective action definition.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to support component selection and cost down for valve trains and major hardware packages; confirm control expectations where needed.
