Your future role - Design mechanical systems and equipment
- Make calculations, simulations, and cost estimates
- Talk to suppliers to find new components for your designs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
- Analyze problems encountered by customers and recommend solutions
- Elaborate mechanical plans and technical quotes for the systems and equipment
- Prepare and present project reports
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
- Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing and Service teams
- Travel occasionally to customer sites
Required skills - You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- You have at least three years of experience in mechanical design
- You have knowledge of Solid Edge software - an asset
- You are a good communicator, both written and spoken
- You can successfully interact and work with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a production environment
