Responsibilities
Noblis is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to provide support to various Sail HM&E ship systemss for the US Navy.
Support submarine hull, mechanical, and electrical system projects through engineering analysis, technical evaluation, and hands-on involvement in systems development and testing.
- Be the technical lead for submarine HM&E systems supporting Imaging, Electronic Warfare, Communications and Radar masts and sensors.
- Perform prototype development, equipment testing, refinement, assembly/disassembly, and validation testing while ensuring compliance with Navy specifications and engineering standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering specifications, and procedures in accordance with Navy regulations and current standards.
- Provide technical oversight in shipboard and on-site activities including installation, modification, troubleshooting, and system commissioning of communication and mechanical systems.
- Assist with engineering material management including specification review, procurement support, and configuration tracking.
- Conduct systems troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical and electrical system issues.
- Coordinate with various program offices including PMS450, PMS 392, PMS 397 and PMS 435 for the development of sail systems and overall ship construction.
Required Qualifications
- Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 10 years' experience in an Engineering or Information Systems discipline
- Travel up to 20%
- US citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
