The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in our Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics office.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging,
mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.
• Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.
• Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
Basic Qualifications
• Master's degree in related field with 10 years of experience or BS degree and 12 years of expereince.
• 5 years of applicable experience or internships
• Mechanical design experience
• 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems
• Must possess active DOD S (DOE L) or higher security clearance.
• Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area.
Preferred Qualifications
• SolidWorks or Creo CAD and 2D drawing experience
• Experience working at a DOE facility
• Hands on assembly and test of prototypes
• EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience
• Static FEA and thermal analysis experience

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
