Introduction to the Job

In this Mechanical Engineer role, you will lead complex mechanical design activities, own critical module-level deliverables, and collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines. You will solve challenging technical problems, balance performance, quality, and delivery requirements, and help bring innovative products from concept to reality.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work independently on complex engineering challenges while collaborating closely with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. You will lead technical work within your area of expertise and help ensure high-quality designs that support ASML's technology roadmap.

You will:
  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components and modules.
  • Define, analyze, and manage engineering requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct research, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to support design decisions.
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed mechanical designs, including material selection and documentation.
  • Support product integration, testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify technical risks, propose innovative solutions, and balance quality with timely delivery.
  • Coach and guide engineers while promoting engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.


Education and Experience
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or complex engineering systems.
  • fluid dynamics, CFD, CAD modeling, Tolerance stack-up analysis
    GD&T, Precision mechanics design (Structural design for stiffness and weight optimization)
  • Experience leading technical projects, subsystems, modules, or major component developments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
  • Experience using 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering analysis tools.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, specifications, and design reviews.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in complex environments.
  • Preferred: electromagnetics, mechatronics
    hand-on experience: FIRST Robotics, FSAE, or other
  • Nice-to-have: brazing, welding background, injection molding / potting

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$86,800-119,350

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
