Position Summary:
Ensure production equipment and processes are correctly designed and set-up to reach all cost, time and quality related requirements while supporting our production, quality, EH&S & Operations teams in the design, operation, control and optimization of processes.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Mechanical technical guidance for operations to support development of new products.
  • Mechanical technical guidance for operations to optimize manufacturing processes reflecting lower costs and improve internal knowledge of manufacturing personnel.
  • Technical support of our customer base as well as sales and marketing efforts.
  • Propose and participate in the design and commissioning of machinery improvements and capital equipment projects.
  • Collect and analyze production data to propose and implement improvement actions with existing products.
  • Maintain and support Quality, EH&S, and Operation requirements.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Sustainable Development).
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and business processes.
  • Ensure that the installed production technology is meeting all relevant internal and external EH&S standards, Operations and SD functions.
  • Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with welding and brazing of discreet parts is preferred
  • Solid process engineering background with experience in metal working processes, such as rolling, slitting, melting, casting, power press forming and tooling operations is an advantage
  • Ability to design, build and debug machine components, fixtures and tooling
  • Experience with organizing and managing multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and provide technical support for everyday challenges.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Experience problem-solving skills, such as the ability to establish root cause and develop, test and implement solutions.
  • Ability to perform analytical and metallurgical testing.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Access and PowerPoint).
  • ISO 9001/ISO14001 knowledge preferred.
  • Auto Cad / SolidWorks / Inventor preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze/interpret data and compile reports.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
