You as an M&E Superintendent will:- Plan, direct and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes.
- Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems
- Provide direction during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist Project Managers and Project superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI's and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
- Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.
- Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project.
- Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion.
- Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction.
Is this the right role for you?- You have a Electrical or Mechanical Engineering related degree/diploma and at least 10 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- You have a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles and practices.
- You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
- You have a working knowledge surveying techniques, surveying equipment standards and procedures.
- You have the ability to conceptualize drawings and identify potential construction conflicts.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Superintendents and Project Managers
- Able to perform in a fast paced environment.
- Salary Range for this role is $100,000-115,000 CAD
