Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Tulsa, OK.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Must have the ability to obtain a government security clearance
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency in Siemens NX
- High expertise in at least one additional CAD platform: • SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo, NX (preferred)
- Proven experience designing for complex systems and applications
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components and assemblies
- Provide technical expertise across sensor, electronic, electromechanical, and optical systems
- Develop detailed CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Support production and manufacturing teams with design for manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices
- Apply advanced engineering analysis and problem-solving techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Strong experience with GD&T
- Experience supporting production lines and design for manufacturability
- Experience with shock, vibration, and stress analysis
Ability to adapt across different CAD tools and design environments
REQUIRED EDUCATION- Accredited Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
WORK HOURS- Full-Time
- 9/80 work schedule
- 1st Shift
