Role description:Arcadis is seeking an experienced
Mechanical Engineer(HVAC) heating, ventilating and air conditioning) systems for facilities to support our multidisciplinary Design and Engineering team in the Seattle, WA area.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the mechanical discipline on multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. You will be responsible for design efforts. As a mechanical engineer, you will work with project teams consisting of architects, engineers, project managers and clients designing HVAC systems on various projects including sustainable solutions.
Role accountabilities: - Prepare engineering and construction documents including drawings, specifications, and design narratives
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit and Load Calculation Software (Trane Trace, HAP)
- Travel as required to attend project meetings, design reviews, engineering site surveys, data collection, and collaboration with clients' team members
- Knowledge of industry standards (ASHRAE) and building codes and safety standards
- Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates and proposals
- Work with other team members to develop sealed drawings of your designs
- Work within established budgets and schedules for each assignment
- Coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines
- Perform various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management)
- Work in a collaborative team environment
Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4 or more years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Design experience producing IFC drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- FE / EIT Certification
- PE Registration a plus
- Design experience producing IFC drawings for Facilities and Buildings.
- Experience in full-service consulting design firms and coordination with in-house A/E resources
- LEED accredited professional

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
