Full Job Description

  • Schedule:12-hour rotating shift.

  • Hourly Rate:CAD $42.96/hour, for the first year, then the full rate is $45.02/hour.

  • Benefits: Full-time roles are eligible for our competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, as well as multiple retirement savings products.

As a Mechanic Electrician,you are responsible for performing maintenance functions, including equipment installation and repairs, new construction, service, and preventative maintenance, equipment startup, and testing, renovating and restoring, troubleshooting equipment, etc. (on-call and overtime availability).

What you will do:

  • Installs and maintains electrical and electronic systems based on blueprints, including conduit installation, wiring, splicing, and terminations.
  • Diagnoses faults in electrical/electronic equipment and performs required repairs or component replacements.
  • Conducts testing, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and electrical components.
  • Operates and maintains low- and medium-voltage equipment and performs basic programming of PLC and Foxboro systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards (LOTO, Arc Flash, high voltage, MCC, substations) and plant best practices.
  • Documents work activities in SAP, maintains 5S standards, supports onboarding/training of new employees, and performs additional duties as required.

What you will bring:

  • Licensed Electrician with Certificate of Qualification, in good standing with the College of Trades.
  • Experience in industrial environments maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, with PLC programming skills; Foxboro experience is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, data, and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Physically capable of working under varying conditions, including extreme postures, temperatures, and heights.
  • Flexible working 12-hour shifts in a continuous operation, including overtime and on-call, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
