Job Summary- Seeking a Software Engineer to support a software development effort using Java as the primary programming language
- The team operates in an Agile development environment to assign, track, and manage software activities and requirements
- This position provides an opportunity to expand Java development skills while working with modern technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces
- The ideal candidate is a collaborative software engineer who can contribute across design, development, installation, testing, and quality activities in support of mission requirements
Primary Responsibilities- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using Java
- Participate in Agile software development activities, including requirements analysis, task planning, implementation, testing, and status tracking
- Design and implement complex algorithms while adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints
- Perform quality control reviews of software products developed by the team
- Implement recommendations for improving software documentation and development process standards
- Collaborate with team members and the customer to derive software requirements and understand project limitations, system capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
- Develop and maintain software that meets documented technical and operational requirements
- Coordinate software system installation activities
- Monitor system and equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are met
- Support troubleshooting, software integration, and problem resolution activities
- Develop and maintain technical and software documentation
- Participate in peer reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities
Required Qualifications- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for the bachelor's degree
- Experience designing or implementing complex algorithms with timing, resource, or interface constraints
- Experience performing software quality control or peer review activities
- Experience supporting software installation, integration, and operational validation
- Experience working with customers or technical stakeholders to derive and refine software requirements
Desired Qualifications- Experience with one or more of the following is highly desired:

- Database application development
- SQL
- Query development
- PostgreSQL
- Elasticsearch aggregations
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 155,000 USD per year (NBP)
