Job Summary- Seeking a Cloud Software Engineer 1 to support the development and deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions within a mission-driven environment
- This position contributes to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications supporting large-scale compute and data analytics platforms
Primary Responsibilities- Support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based software applications
- Develop scalable and reliable software capabilities supporting enterprise compute and data analytics platforms
- Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, testing, and demonstrations
- Analyze software and system requirements and translate them into functional software solutions
- Develop and maintain software using modern programming languages and development practices
- Support software installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Develop and maintain applications operating within Linux-based environments
- Assist with integrating software applications with cloud services, APIs, databases, and supporting infrastructure
- Support containerized application development and deployment
- Participate in automated build, test, integration, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot software, integration, and deployment issues across development and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation associated with software development and deployment activities
- Collaborate with software engineers, cloud engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, and other technical team members
- Apply secure software development and DevOps practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement of software development, automation, and deployment processes
Required Qualifications- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and zero (0) years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical field; or
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or a related technical field in lieu of a degree
- Qualifying experience must include one or more of the following:
- Requirements analysis
- Software development
- Software installation
- Software evaluation
- Software enhancement
- Software maintenance
- Problem diagnosis and resolution
- Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines will be considered
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as:
- Experience working within Linux-based operating systems
Desired Qualifications- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience supporting cloud-native or distributed applications
- Familiarity with automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and configuration-management practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
105,000 - 140,000 USD per year (NBP)
