Job Summary- Seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems support for daily operations and resolves all issues to ensure system availability and optimization
- The Ideal candidate will
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, and mobile devices
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
- Configure and manage LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Primary Responsibilities- Support and maintain Linux systems. Experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful
- Create, support, and manage virtual machines
- Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant. Work in close coordination with ISSO
- Manage installation and configuration of software environments
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels
Required Qualifications- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years experience as an SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Four (4) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
- Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS
- Experience with software installation and configuration
- Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs
- Security + Certification (SEC+)
Desired Qualifications- Experience with AWS and cloud environments
- Scripting experience (Python) is a plus
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
165,000 - 185,000 USD per year (NBP)
