Full Job Description
Job Description:

This role is a project-based transformation role focused on the Design, Development, and Segment Pilot phase of Core PLM, funded through mid-July 2028. As we move closer to mid-July 2028, we will work with you to explore other opportunities for employment within the Mars family of companies (including possible future phases of this project, such as Deployment and subsequent pilots). If a suitable alternative role is not available at that time, your employment will end.
MDM Services Transformation Lead, Product Lifecycle Management (cPLM)

In this dynamic global position, your superpower will be influence rather than direct authority. Working closely with cross-functional business and IT partners, you will champion data governance, advise on future-state MDM architectures, and pioneer next-generation capabilities-including the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and intelligent automation. If you are a visionary data leader who thrives in complex, matrixed environments and enjoys translating complex transformational goals into tangible, operational reality, this role offers an incredible platform to make a lasting legacy.

What are we looking for?
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. (An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a highly valued plus).
  • MDM Expertise: 10+ years of deep Master Data Management experience, with a strong focus on Product MDM/PIM in a global consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing environment.
  • PLM Exposure: Proven experience navigating large-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) program implementations and a deep understanding of where PLM and MDM intersect.
  • Collaborative Influence: Demonstrated success in consulting and advisory roles, with an exceptional ability to build consensus and drive strategic outcomes across a complex, matrixed global organization.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of MDM technologies (e.g., SAP MDG, Reltio, Stibo), data modeling, enterprise integration, and data governance frameworks.
  • AI & Automation Curiosity: Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning concepts and their practical applications in master data (e.g., automated classification, anomaly detection, predictive quality).
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of articulating complex technical and data concepts to both technical teams and business leaders.

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Strategic Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between the PLM program and the MDM services organization to align strategic vision, roadmaps, and delivery goals.
  • Future-State Architecture & Innovation: Advise on future-state MDM architecture to ensure seamless orchestration, and identify opportunities for innovation, including AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the global expert on product data creation, enrichment, and maintenance, ensuring PLM components integrate seamlessly with core MDM systems.
  • Data Governance: Champion data governance principles and advocate for robust global standards and quality metrics across the future-state PLM/MDM landscape.
  • Operational Readiness & Redesign: Redesign and optimize MDM operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce manual efforts, and ensure the operational team is fully prepared for cPLM transitions.
  • Impact Assessment & Change Management: Assess cPLM's organizational and skill impact on the MDM services team, contributing directly to change management, communication, and training plans.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key business and IT partners to drive alignment and secure successful adoption of new MDM capabilities.

What can you expect from Mars?
  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
