OverviewThe Project Manager I, MBCx supports the full lifecycle of Monitoring-Based Commissioning engagements - from onboarding and platform deployment through ongoing fault detection, diagnostics, and client reporting - across a portfolio of healthcare and higher-education facilities. Working closely with engineers and analysts, this role helps ensure MBCx projects run on schedule and within scope while translating technical findings (fault detection results, chiller plant performance, HVAC optimization opportunities) into clear, actionable outcomes for clients using the ENFRA Connect platform.
Responsibilities- Assists with managing the MBCx project lifecycle, from initial site onboarding and BAS/point mapping through platform go-live and ongoing service delivery
- Participates in meetings with client facilities and engineering teams to define project scope, onboarding timelines, and reporting cadences for FDD and retro-commissioning work
- Coordinates with analysts and engineers to track fault resolution progress, energy savings validation, and project milestones against client SLAs, under the direct supervision of a PM II or III
- Assists the MBCx team in ensuring onboarding and ongoing service work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification
- Assists with the selection, negotiation, and coordination of controls contractors, integrators, or sub-contractors supporting site onboarding and BAS integration
- Supports resource scheduling across assigned client sites, balancing onboarding pipeline with ongoing monitoring and analyst workload
- Tracks project progress against onboarding milestones, energy savings targets, and other MBCx performance indicators; prepares and delivers status reports to management, under the direct supervision of a PM II or III
- Develops working knowledge of MBCx-specific tools, policies, and practices, including fault detection workflows, chiller plant diagnostics, and demand response program participation

QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications- 5+ Years of experience in one of the following sectors: Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or Energy.
- Knowledge of Project Management through a college degree or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrated experience to lead and manage a team of technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience with strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 platform (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to use multiple software platforms including financial software and project management software
- Effective working in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications- Baccalaureate Degree in a Technical discipline, Engineering degree, Construction Management or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Preferred experience in controls discipline.
- Preferred experience in the construction sector.
- Preferred experience in facilities management.
- Preferred experience in the energy sector.
- The Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification.
- Ability to interpret engineering documents and drawings and understand construction contract requirements.
- Has successfully completed the Project Management training if an internal candidate.
Travel Requirements- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
