The CNI team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Material Planning Control Analyst, based out of Rancho Carmel facility in San Diego, CA.

Network Information Systems (NIS) is an operating unit within the Mission Systems division of Northrop Grumman Information Systems. ATN is located in San Diego, California. The business has developed and advanced software-defined radio technology for sophisticated communications in a network-centric environment.

NIS focuses on providing advanced technologies, engineering development and production for our software-defined radio programs. NIS programs include the communications, navigation and identification (CNI) production for F-22 and F-35 aircraft and production of advanced multi-function RF products such as JCREW.

What You'll get to Do:
  • Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications Production schedules and plans.
  • Plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse and production teams
  • Plan, prepare, and schedule the material supply to meet production needs
  • Ensure attrition and consumption inputs reflect operational manufacturing usage
  • Coordinate with other departments as required to validate material availability
  • Maintain material usage reports to support quantity change initiatives
  • Enter material requirement requisitions in the ERP system signaling procurement activities and coordinate with procurement on deliveries to ensure support of production schedules
  • Generate work order documents to signal material release to operations and inventory reductions based on actual material quantities used


Basic Qualifications Material Planning Control Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years with a Masters; 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with industry practices, techniques, and standards
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP system
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • US citizenship required

Primary Level Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $103,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
