About the Role

This position involves directing and overseeing all aspects of materials management, including sourcing, purchasing, transportation, inventory control, and warehousing. The role exists to ensure the efficient supply and movement of goods, contributing significantly to the organization's operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee sourcing, purchasing, shipping, receiving, handling, inventory control, warehousing, and transportation of goods.
  • Develop strategies to ensure sufficient supplies to meet anticipated needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely shipping/receiving records and inventory counts.
  • Assess departmental performance, identify risks, and suggest improvements.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee their activities.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary documents accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of related fields or departments.
  • Proven leadership in directing the work of employees, including hiring, performance management, and termination.
  • Experience contributing to strategic planning and goal setting in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ability to establish departmental policies and procedures with significant organizational impact.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience, including prior management experience.
