Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Materials Management Supervisor at our Sparrows Point,MD location.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • The Materials Management Supervisor will be responsible for supervising personnel and daily activities across core materials-handling functions-including order picking, receiving, kitting, and materials conveyance-within our Assembled-to-Order (ATO) manufacturing environment. This role provides operational leadership and can be assigned to any materials area based on business needs.
  • Sets a high standard for safety by championing our guiding principles and ensuring all equipment (i.e., MHE) is properly operated and sufficiently maintained.
  • Evaluates current processes and drives continuous improvement in material flow and efficiency within the supervised area, eliminating waste and minimizing non-value-added activities.
  • Coaches and develops a high performing team that meets objectives and continuously works to improve operations. Conducts performance reviews and development dialogues with Lead(s) and Associates.
  • Responsible for executing against key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDC+P).
  • Tracks and controls inventory movements via Oracle, ensuring associates are trained and/or following material transaction protocols/standards.
  • Ensures all scheduled jobs are picked, audited, and staged daily.
  • Ensures audits (i.e., 5s) are complete and established procedures/standards are adhered to consistently.
  • Execute strategic planning for personnel needs, capacity requirements, and equipment needs.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects (i.e., Kaizen events and A3 problem solving).
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of their team operating areas.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent consideration will be given to candidates with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations, with direct responsibility for materials management activities.
  • Previous experience with Oracle EBS or comparable ERP system (i.e., SAP).
  • Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience, including leadership responsibility for directing workflows in materials-management warehouse functions.
  • Should be able to supervise diverse personalities and work across departmental lines effectively.
  • Possess a keen sense of urgency and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e., Excel and Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • ASCM/APICS certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD).

Salary Range: $65,000 to $121,200
