Materials Management and Transportation Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our Fulfillment team in Everett, WA. 2nd shift position: Monday through Friday and working hours are 1:30 pm till 10 pm. Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

The successful candidate is self-motivated driven person who can manage and integrate employees' activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Specifically in the delivery customer service role. You should be able to develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of team members and lead process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

The candidate selected for the 2nd shift position will be assigned responsibilities that include operations factory support, shipping/receiving, material handling, expedite, warehousing and serving as the Supply Chain contact for off shift customer support. This role principally leads a team of hourly, represented team members in the Supply Chain function.

Our team is currently hiring for a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager for 2nd shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply chain and/or Materials Management
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5 + years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and translate into strategy Implementation
  • Demonstrated capacity to proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
  • Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand

2nd: Monday through Friday and working hours are 1:30 pm till 10 pm.
