Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the Air Dominance Portfolio located in Tucson, AZ. The Material Program Manager (MPM) must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and can drive change through creative problem solving.  

In this role, you will be the liaison between the Program Office, Engineering, and the Supply Base, and will work to define material and procurement strategies in alignment with evolving program requirements in a fast-paced Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) environment. This role is integral in identifying supply chain risks, developing mitigation plans, managing supplier performance, and supporting monthly financial Earned Value reporting requirements. This role is critical to ensuring the program’s success and you will directly impact cost, schedule and quality outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain execution, material constraints, and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
  • Manage material sales forecasting, material budgets, and monthly/quarterly Earned Value financial reporting
  • Execute make/buy/where process
  • Assist with generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW)
  • Generate Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs), and obtaining and understanding supplier proposals/quotes
  • Generate and process Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests
  • Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement plan execution to meet program cost and schedule objectives
  • Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <25%)

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience managing, and/or working with suppliers
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
