Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a special program within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. This role will require the individual work onsite in Raytheon's Tucson, AZ location.
The MPM is accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management. You will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all program's supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and influence the overall goals of the program and the program IPT team.
The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and to work in cross-functional teams.
What You Will Do:- Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
- Ownership of Material Forecast and identification of risks and opportunities.
- Manage material budgets and support EACs.
- Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement/management.
- Participate in supplier engagements and review to ensure supplier performance.
- Monitor performance metrics and act to address program and functional issues.
- Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.
- Obtain a special program clearance within 90 days of employment.
Qualifications You Must Have: - Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain role.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access prior to start date
Qualifications We Prefer: - Experience working with suppliers.
- Experience supporting developmental engineering programs.
- Project management experience.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
