Job Description
The Material Handling group of Fluor's Mining and Metals business line is involved in all aspects of design and mechanical engineering of large scale belt conveyors, crushing and screening stations, bulk material storage and reclaim solutions, and ship and rail loading and unloading facilities for the mining industry. The successful candidate will be a part of a team of mechanical engineers and CAD designers and be responsible for creating a suitable facility which may encompass some or all of the above scopes to support clients' Projects. This position will require understanding of bulk material handling, knowledge of conveyor circuit design, and experience in studies and detailed engineering projects. Some responsibilities and tasks are as follows:
• Develop material handling design of crushing and screening facilities - select and size equipment
• Size storage stockpiles and bins and design reclaim arrangements
• Design conveyors including performing conveyor calculations and deciding drive and take-up details
• Develop and review various material handling equipment specifications, including material handling design criteria
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Professional registration and membership in technical society (preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Compressed work schedule: The Fluor Canada offices work a compressed work schedule offering every second Friday off.
Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $167,000.00
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
