Your role as a Material Flow Control Software (MFCS) Specialist
Key responsibilities:
About thejob
We are seeking aforward-thinking Senior Operator & MFCS Specialist to lead best practicesthroughout North America, driving alignment and efficiency. This role will alsobe instrumental in bridging the gap between traditional MFCS operations and applyingintelligent automation principles as discovered, ensuring seamless materialflow, enhanced system responsiveness, and optimized performance across ourfacilities.
Management
Responsible for the management and mentoring of 2-3 direct reports
Operational Support & Training
Develop and deliver training programs for Operators and on MFCS, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and best practices
Serve as a subject matter expert during system startups, upgrades, and troubleshooting events.
Provide hands-on support during commissioning and ramp-up phases of new systems.
Provide remote monitor of live systems and facilitate change in operational behavior when needed.
System Analysis & Optimization
Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies or limitations in current MFCS configurations.
Recommend and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
Monitor system performance and generate reports on AI impact and MFCS health.
North American conduit for GLA improvements and analysis.
AI Integration & Leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI use cases and pilot solutions.
Test and validate AI models in live and simulated MFCS environments.
Collaboration & Communication
Act as a liaison between operations, engineering, IT, and AI development teams.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Document processes, findings, and best practices for continuous improvement.
Work with Design and Engineering, and Implementation Solution Design to review new Material Handling Equipment (MHE) designs for new sites and CAPEX projects for existing sites.
Assist GLA during project phases as needed for hands-on assistance and GLA build designs.
Travel will fluctuate, currently 50%-75%
Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:
2-4 years of Material Control Flow Systems (MCFS) software experience
Knowledge of automation and PLCs
Strong background in start-ups, upgrades and troubleshooting of MCFS automation software
Warehousing or Distribution Center experience highly desirable
Team lead, supervisory or management experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Willing to travel extensively (up to 75% domestic travel)
