Texas Capital Bank is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Master Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support our enterprise and cloud networking infrastructure. This role spans on-premise data centers, cloud platforms, and next-generation network technologies. You will be a key technical leader in delivering resilient, scalable, and secure network services for a world-class financial institution.
Responsibilities:- Support Palo Alto firewalls in a multi-context environment, including cloud deployments in AWS/Azure
- Provide routing and switching support and configuration in a Cisco Nexus and ASR environment utilizing BGP
- Maintains and updates network infrastructure including but not limited to Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco's ISE, Cisco Viptella SD-WAN, F5 load balancers, Cisco Wireless Access points and wireless LAN controllers, CloudFlare, ThousandEyes
- Monitor and analyze network performance and provide reports on a regular basis
- Prepares and follows detailed documentation, standards and guidelines for data network systems
- Takes corrective action to improve data network performance; travels to off-site locations to perform related work as required
- Provide assistance and knowledge transfer to various IT departments on data networking
- Responds to escalated situations and lead effective troubleshooting during a production outages
- Participate in on-call rotation for Level 1/2 support for escalations of production issues
- Must be able to work nights and/or weekends for implementations as needed.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12+ years of data network support experience required
- Expert level knowledge of Palo Alto multi-context firewall environments
- Expert level knowledge with Cisco Nexus switch design and implementation, including vPC Strong knowledge of Cisco NX-OS and IOS command line configuration
- Strong knowledge configuring and supporting LTM and GTM F5 load-balancers
- Strong knowledge in Cloud network technologies - Azure and AWS
- Experience with Virtualization technologies - VMWare and NSX-T
- Data Center design experience regarding DR and failover testing
- Experience with CloudFlare, or other DDoS/CDN system is a plus
- Working knowledge of the interoperability of voice systems
- Flexibility in schedule and willingness to provide after-hours support when necessary
- Ability to write detailed documentation around processes, procedures and day to day activities Ability to independently work on projects to completion
- Must be able to minimize downtime by rapidly diagnosing and resolving problems

- Maintain a high level of teamwork and communication across various IT groups
- Provide assistance and knowledge transfer to various IT departments regarding data networks
- Willingness to travel 5% as needed
