Responsibilities

  • Define and implement KPIs and executive dashboards for real-time data visibility.
  • Design scalable data quality and monitoring solutions, including business cases for funding.
  • Oversee technical development and execution by external partners.
  • Guide process owners in mapping data lineages and documenting glossaries.
  • Maintain auditable documentation of data quality rules and governance policies.
  • Monitor ERP shifts to mitigate risks and adopt emerging ML/AI capabilities.

Master Data Quality Lead

Following our landmark acquisition of Kellanova, Mars Global Services (MGS) is establishing key capabilities in service of Mars Snacking to drive unified business processes and reporting across our global operations. We are seeking a Master Data Quality Lead for a high-impact, project-based role with an expected duration through December 31, 2028. Step into a collaborative, cross-functional environment at the intersection of business strategy, technology execution, and change management. In this role, you will proactively represent the Master Data team, championing data excellence across complex legacy ERP landscapes and establishing a resilient data governance foundation that directly enables our integration milestones.

What are we looking for?
  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Deep Domain Expertise: 10-12 years of experience leading Master Data Management (MDM) and/or Data Quality initiatives across multiple data domains in a complex, multi-national corporate environment.
  • Data Principles: A strong, comprehensive understanding of data quality dimensions, as well as data and technical lineage concepts.
  • Technical Track Record: Proven success in designing and delivering user-facing data monitoring, profiling, and cleansing applications or solutions.
  • ERP Experience: Considerable hands-on experience working with SAP Data Models, specifically in the areas of Product, Customer, Vendor, and Finance.
  • Influencing & Storytelling: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate highly complex data and technical concepts into clear, impactful business language.
  • Project & Partner Management: Demonstrated experience successfully managing external system integrators, third-party technical partners, and large-scale project execution.
  • Language Skills (Nice-to-Have): Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in any additional language is considered a distinct advantage.


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Define & Govern Rules: Partner with IMO leads, business process owners, and master data councils to identify, prioritize, and govern Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and data quality rules.
  • Lead Cleansing Initiatives: Design and coordinate targeted data profiling, cleansing, and ongoing monitoring initiatives to ensure data is "fit for purpose" ahead of major system integrations.
  • Establish KPIs & Reporting: Define and implement robust data quality KPIs and executive dashboards, providing stakeholders with real-time visibility into data health and integration progress.
  • Architect Scalable Solutions: Design comprehensive data quality and monitoring solutions, including drafting business cases and ROI justifications to secure leadership alignment and project funding.
  • Manage Strategic Partners: Oversee and manage the end-to-end technical development and project execution delivered by external system integrators and third-party development partners.
  • Enable Data Stewardship: Guide and facilitate business process owners to map end-to-end data lineages and document business glossaries and data models within the Collibra data catalog.
  • Standardize Documentation: Maintain and govern comprehensive, auditable documentation of all data quality rules, governance policies, and technical solutions deployed across Mars Snacking.
  • Anticipate & Innovate: Proactively monitor upcoming ERP and integration shifts to mitigate data model risks, while identifying and adopting emerging ML/AI capabilities to automate anomaly detection and predictive profiling.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
