JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Business Analysis Cost Optimization Strategy Manager within the Markets Operations team, you will work within the Cost and Commission Services group to develop and execute strategies that optimize trading costs across Brokerage, Clearing, and Exchange for Global markets. You will partner with trading desks across asset classes, including Equities, Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange, Credit, and Commodities, with a particular focus on North America (NAM) and (LATAM) Latin America covering all major countries in the region. You will analyze trading data, collaborate with stakeholders, and negotiate with third parties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the landscape of trading venues and their relationship with J.P. Morgan's trading desks
  • Analyze big sets of trading data, brokerage data, and rate cards across asset classes to reveal cost associated with trades and find avenues to reduce such costs
  • Present findings from data analysis to our global team, respective desks and business managers in an objective and precise manner
  • Assist with ongoing and upcoming brokerage negotiations with brokers, along with drafting of rate cards
  • Provide support with the design and implementation of management information system, including management of visualization dashboard (Tableau)
  • Manage stakeholders internally (Trading Desks, Business Managers, Operations, Finance, Legal, Controls) as well as externally (Brokers/Venues)
  • Provide support to the Cost and Commission Services operations team on the queries related to brokers/brokerage
  • Provide regional updates to the Cost and Commission Services product team on market changes
  • Assist in ad hoc projects like Cost+, Client connectivity optimization or others as deemed necessary by business
  • Collate metrics to measure, mitigate, monitor and report risk

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Thorough understanding of Over-the-Counter (OTC) traded products, and trading venues
  • Good understanding of trading flows and the agency business model
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Tableau and Alteryx
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Act with integrity and with best interests of the firm in mind

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) queries will be a plus
  • Prior team management experience will be beneficial
