Purpose:Whitecap Resources is seeking a commercially minded Natural Gas Liquids Marketing Representative to help optimize the value of Whitecap's natural gas liquids portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external counterparties to support Whitecap's current operations and future growth.
You will bring strong market knowledge, analytical capability, and relationship-management skills to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and maximize value across our NGL value chain. This position reports to the Manager, NGL Marketing.
What You Will Do:- Collaborate with Manager, NGL Marketing to negotiate and administer term NGL sales and storage agreements
- Negotiate and administer monthly and spot NGL sales.
- Support the negotiation of fractionation and transportation agreements.
- Build and maintain optimization and netback models to support commercial decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with midstream companies, producers, and downstream purchasers.
- Work closely with Marketing Accounting, Production Accounting, and purchasers to ensure revenue statements are accurate, complete, and received on time.
- Ensure all transactions comply with corporate credit policies and delegated authority limits.
- Liaise with the Scheduling team on monthly pipeline and rail nominations, Take-in-Kind notices, and Notice of Agency agreements
- Collaboration with Engineering, Midstream, Natural Gas and Crude Marketing teams to ensure alignment on long-range production forecasts
- Work closely with operations, scheduling & other commodity teams to manage operational outages, apportionment, and nominations
- Work with NGL Scheduler to manage monthly EPSTA C2+ pipeline balancing and trading activities.
- Apply market fundamentals and commercial relationships to maximize NGL netback value
What You Bring:- 5+ years of direct exposure to NGL commodity marketing, commercial operations, scheduling, or related areas.
- An undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in global NGL markets, commodity fundamentals and commercial optimization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted, strategic relationships.
- Strong commercial judgment, financial acumen, and analytical capability.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
