Overview

D'Addario is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to join the Marketing department. In this role, you will keep marketing and advertising projects organized, aligned, and moving forward—from brief through execution. Working across Marketing, Creative, Strategy, and Business Unit teams, you will set clear direction on day-to-day project needs, document decisions, and coordinate follow-through to deliver work on time and on budget. As a central point of coordination and communication, you will maintain visibility across active initiatives, turn discussion into clear next steps, and help teams operate efficiently and effectively. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence at our Brooklyn location, Tuesday through Thursday. 

 

Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day project coordination for marketing and advertising initiatives across D’Addario’s Guitar+, Percussion, Band & Orchestra, and Merch businesses.
  • Build collaborative working relationships across Strategy, Creative, Digital, and Product Management teams for initiatives of all sizes.
  • Maintain visibility across assigned projects, from initiation through completion.
  • Build and maintain Gantt charts at the project level and contribute to a master view across Marcom initiatives, giving teams clear insight into how work is planned and resourced.

Meeting Facilitation & Follow-Through

  • Plan and lead project meetings that drive alignment, decisions, and clear next steps.
  • Help sequence Strategy and Creative presentations and prompt timely Business Unit feedback.
  • Translate discussion and feedback into clear, actionable direction for project teams.
  • Clarify priorities, timelines, and decision points so teams understand expectations and deliverables.

Momentum & Risk Management

  • Triage project needs to sustain momentum, identifying risks and flagging constraints related to scope, timing, or resourcing.
  • Schedule and drive follow-up conversations to keep work moving forward.
  • Escalate risks, capacity issues, or misalignment to the appropriate stakeholders.

Budget & Resource Tracking

  • Track and monitor project budgets, helping ensure initiatives are delivered within approved financial parameters.
  • Flag budget variances early and partner with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Business Units, and external vendors or agencies on cost estimates, approvals, and invoicing.
  • Support forecasting of budget and resourcing needs across concurrent projects to aid planning and prioritization.

Documentation & Visibility

  • Capture key decisions, action items, and points of alignment or contention to ensure shared understanding.
  • Create and maintain accurate project documentation and project management systems that reflect current status, risks, and progress.
  • Apply and help maintain SOPs and repeatable frameworks that create efficiencies.

Business Partnership

  • Build a working understanding of the company’s products, brand priorities, and business objectives to inform project sequencing and recommendations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Creative, Strategy, and Business Units to support effective collaboration and execution.
  • Demonstrate engagement and ownership in advancing projects and supporting team outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of project management experience within marketing, advertising, or creative environments.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex discussions into clear direction and next steps.
  • Sound judgment in prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.
  • Experience tracking project or campaign budgets, including monitoring spend and managing variances.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and systems; willing to work within the existing Project Management tool (TeamWork).
  • Comfortable navigating organizational dynamics and collaborating across levels and functions to achieve project goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience.
