Full Job Description
The Marketing Manager, Community & Advocacy is responsible for developing and executing customer advocacy programs and content strategies that build trust, deepen engagement, and amplify authentic consumer voices. This role leads ambassador initiatives, manages advocacy partnerships, develops advocacy-led content programs, and uses performance insights to optimize engagement and business impact. Working cross-functionally with marketing, communications, legal, creative, and external partners, the role translates business priorities into meaningful advocacy and content opportunities that strengthen consumer relationships and support brand objectives.

Major Areas of Accountability

Consumer Advocacy & Ambassador Programs

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of customer ambassador programs that support brand campaigns, product launches, events, and business priorities.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, activate, and retain ambassador communities while building strong and productive long-term relationships. Establish program frameworks, expectations, deliverables, and engagement plans that enable ambassadors to share authentic experiences while adhering to brand, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align advocacy initiatives with marketing objectives and consumer experience priorities.
  • Foster a community of advocates who amplify brand messaging, provide valuable customer insights, and strengthen consumer trust and loyalty.
  • Define the role of customer advocacy within the broader content ecosystem and consumer journey.
  • Lead the development of organic content for owned and partner channels, ensuring content supports brand, business, and consumer engagement objectives.
  • Translate business priorities, launches, campaigns, and consumer insights into advocacy-driven content opportunities and creative briefs.
  • Partner with internal teams, agencies, creators, and ambassadors to develop compelling content that showcases authentic customer experiences.
  • Ensure advocacy content is aligned with brand strategy, audience needs, and channel-specific best practices.
  • Establish goals, KPIs, and measurement frameworks for advocacy, ambassador, partnership, and content initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance and evaluate outcomes using consumer insights, engagement data, partner feedback, and business results. Use findings to recommend program enhancements, identify scalable opportunities, and continuously improve the effectiveness of advocacy and content strategies.


Advocacy Partnership

  • Develop a strategy for advocacy partnerships, events, activities, and create a plan that aligns with business leaders and priorities
  • Develop and manage relationships with advocacy organizations, community groups, nonprofit partners and other strategic stakeholders to advance consumer-focused initiatives.
  • Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities that support education, awareness, community engagement, and thought leadership.
  • Create partnership plans and activation strategies that align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison for advocacy partnerships, coordinating activities and commitments across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate partnership performance and recommend opportunities to expand, optimize, or sunset initiatives.
  • Regularly report results, impact, and opportunities for improvement

Basic Qualifications
  • 5 years Marketing experience, preferably in consumer marketing, medical devices, consumer health, patient engagement, or related industries.
  • Experience leading ambassador, advocacy, influencer, and community programs and applying performance metrics and consumer insights to refine strategy and measure business impact.
  • Proven ability developing organic social content that uses authentic storytelling to grow engagement and brand awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions to prioritize and drive strategic objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems with minimal direction and make decisions with confidence
  • Aptitude to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines
  • Approximately 25% travel (minimum twice per quarter)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive action.

    • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $99,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
