Full Job Description
Introduction: A Career at HARMAN Lifestyle

We're a global, multi-disciplinary team that's putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. As a member of HARMAN Lifestyle, you connect consumers with the power of superior sound.
  • Contribute your talents to high-end, esteemed brands like JBL, Mark Levinson, Revel, Roon, Denon, and Bowers & Wilkins
  • Unite your passion for audio innovation with high-tech product development
  • Create pitch-perfect, cutting-edge technology that elevates the listening experience

What You'll Be Part Of

HARMAN's Software Experiences Business Unit (SEBU) builds software products that connect people to music. Our portfolio includes Roon, the leading music library management and playback platform for audiophiles, alongside new music products currently in development.

In this role you will own user growth and external partnerships for new consumer products. This means building the engine that brings the right users in at the right pace: influencer programs, community seeding, invite mechanics, lifecycle programs, and partnerships with artists, agencies, platforms, and companies across the music industry that accelerate awareness, excitement, distribution and credibility.

You will lead the growth strategy across channels, define growth targets with product and analytics counterparts, run influencer and partner programs, and manage the agencies that extend our reach.

Your Team

This is a role reporting directly to the Product Strategy Lead within the Software Experiences Business Unit and works cross-functionally with product management, engineering, marketing, and analytics, counterparts across HARMAN's Lifestyle division and Corporate Strategy organization, as well as external agencies and partners. The role is expected to grow to include direct reports as the business scales.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Own the user growth plan for new consumer products, from early access through public launch and expansion, including acquisition targets, phasing, and the criteria for widening access.
  • Own the growth strategy across channels: prioritize organic, influencer, and lifecycle programs; use earned traction and early performance data to determine when paid acquisition should begin; and build the media plan to scale the highest-performing opportunities.
  • Build and run influencer programs: identify, recruit, and manage the artists, reviewers, and community leaders whose participation creates credibility, content, buzz, and early demand for new products.
  • Translate established brand positioning into launch messaging, then refine the positioning, narrative, and channel approach based on what early users, creators, partners, and performance data reveal.
  • Design and optimize invite and referral mechanics that convert early interest into measurable user acquisition, sustained organic growth, and repeatable growth loops.
  • Lead community seeding across the scenes and channels where target users already gather, building presence and trust before asking for adoption.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with artists, platforms, and companies across the music industry that accelerate distribution, strengthen content supply, or open new audiences.
  • Partner with product management on the features that drive growth: invite and sharing mechanics, social proof, and engagement prompts, bringing channel and community insight into product decisions.
  • Manage external agencies across strategy, social, influencer, and creative execution: set briefs, hold them to measurable outcomes, and own the transition of agency-built playbooks into in-house operations.
  • Define and track growth metrics with analytics counterparts: acquisition by source, activation, referral rates, and retention, and adjust the plan based on what the data shows.
  • Formalize the co-marketing model between the new product and JBL, defining when, how, and where the brands should show up together to build credibility, extend reach, and create mutual value.
  • Evaluate and manage opportunities to leverage HARMAN brands, products, and ecosystems to accelerate growth for SEBU products.

What Makes You A Strong Fit
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience in consumer growth, marketing strategy, and / or business development preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer technology, digital media, or entertainment.
  • Hands-on experience building and running influencer or creator programs - identifying talent, negotiating terms, and managing relationships through to measurable outcomes.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing external partnerships that delivered distribution, content, or audience.
  • Fluency with growth analytics: able to define the metrics that matter, work with analytics partners to instrument them, and change the plan based on what they show rather than defending the original plan.
  • Experience managing external agencies, evaluating performance, and determining when it makes business sense to bring select capabilities in-house as the team scales.
  • Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently to senior executives and influence decisions across a matrixed organization.
  • High degree of ownership and initiative.

Bonus Points if You Have
  • Experience with consumer app growth mechanics - invite programs, referral loops, engagement metrics, and ad-supported models.
  • Familiarity with the music or audio industry, including streaming platforms, music licensing, or audio hardware ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated track record taking a consumer product from early access or limited release through public launch.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools for strategic reporting and executive presentations.
  • Experience working within a large global organization where a smaller, entrepreneurial business unit operates alongside established divisions.

Things To Know
  • Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel.
  • Be willing to work 2+ days per week out of a hybrid office environment in either New York, NY or Stamford, CT
  • Due to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment, post offer accept.

What You Can Expect
  • A hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.
  • Access to employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others)
  • Learning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs
  • Wellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being
  • Tuition reimbursement support
  • Access to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available
  • An inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development
