Full Job Description
• Position Overview: The Marketing Director will develop, execute, and optimize the company's full-funnel marketing strategy - from brand positioning and digital presence to lead generation and customer engagement. This role requires a strong strategic thinker who is hands-on, creative, and comfortable operating with a lean budget and team. You will partner closely with sales leadership, leverage trusted third-party vendors, and build a scalable marketing engine that fuels rapid growth in a highly technical, B2B industrial market.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy & Leadership: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with aggressive revenue goals, including a plan to support the goal of doubling sales in the next 12 months; define and strengthen market positioning, value proposition, and brand identity; build short-term wins while setting up long-term scalable systems; partner with executive leadership to align marketing with sales, product roadmap, and company priorities; establish and maintain the annual marketing budget.
• Demand Generation & Growth: Own lead generation across digital, outbound, partner, and channel marketing; implement and optimize key marketing systems (website, CRM integrations, email automation, analytics); set KPIs, track ROI, and optimize performance; build campaigns targeting utilities, industrials, EPCs, distributors, renewable developers, and service providers.
• Brand & Digital Marketing: Oversee and optimize website, messaging, and UX to position the company as an industry leader; manage SEO, content marketing, social media, and paid campaigns; develop product and technical content (case studies, sales enablement, landing pages, video, etc.).
• Vendor & Partner Management: Manage digital agencies, creative partners, SEO firms, and freelancers; negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure vendors deliver high-impact results on budget; build a reliable, scalable vendor ecosystem to operate with a lean internal team.
• Operational Excellence: Create efficient marketing processes, reporting systems, and workflows to maximize output per dollar; oversee CRM data hygiene, segmentation, and lead workflow alignment with sales; maintain tight budget control with a performance-first mindset; identify market trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities.
• Qualifications:
• Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; 7-12+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B, industrial, manufacturing, electrical, or technical fields; proven success leading marketing strategy in a high-growth or challenger brand environment; demonstrated ability to scale demand generation programs from the ground up; strong experience managing third-party vendors/agencies; highly analytical and comfortable with performance marketing KPIs; experience running lean teams and budgets; exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; hands-on ability to execute.
• Preferred: Experience with transformers, electrical products, power systems, or industrial engineering technologies; familiarity with utilities, EPCs, industrial buyers, or commercial development industries; experience with CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools; background in branding, product positioning, or technical messaging.
