Marketing Consultant - QR Code Specialist

Role Summary:
We're seeking a Marketing Consultant to lead and govern Caterpillar's enterprise QR code program, ensuring scalable, compliant, and effective QR code solutions across the enterprise. This person is accountable for driving adoption, managing vebdor relationships, and delivering reliable customer and business experiences through serialized and marketing QR code capabilities.
This role oversees the lifecycle of enterprise QR code solutions, including strategy, governance, platform administration, vendor management, user support, reporting, and continuous improvement. The Digital Content Specialist serves as the primary liaison between business units, dealers, facilities, suppliers, technology partners, and platform vendors to ensure alignment, compliance, and operational excellence. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Digital Content Strategy and works within a centralized content strategy team. The role partners closely with business units, engineering teams, dealers, suppliers, and external vendors to drive adoption and support enterprise digital initiatives
What You Will Do:
Program Leadership & Adoption
- Operate as the QR Code Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving enterprise alignment.
- Provide guidance, training, onboarding, and resources that enable suppliers, dealers, facilities, business teams, and agency partners to successfully implement and manage QR code solutions.
- Develop communications (FAQs. Toolkits, QR Code Onboarding Playbook, QR Code Training, QR Code Association Process, Track Web PWA User Guide, etc.) that promote adoption and effective use of QR code capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation and support strategic business initiatives.
Governance, Standards & Compliance
- Coordinate enterprise content initiatives across business units and cross-functional teams
- Manage intake, prioritization, and coordination of content requests across stakeholders
- Define and operationalize ways of working, including governance, processes, and cross-team collaboration to help program scale
Platform & Vendor Management
- Administer platform access, permissions, supplier onboarding, and EULA (End User License Agreement) management to ensure secure and compliant use of enterprise QR code platforms.
- Coordinate and communicate platform releases, outages, UAT, and issue resolution to minimize business disruption.
Lifecycle & Operational Management
- Own enterprise repositories for QR code metadata, URLs, UTM parameters, and expiration data to support governance, reporting, accountability, and lifecycle coordination.
- Validate QR code functionality before deployment to ensure reliable and resilient QR code experiences.
- Conduct quarterly facility audits to identify gaps in QR code application rates (actively manage the list of exceptions).

Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).
Digital Marketing: Knowledge of processes, techniques, and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale digital platforms, including platform administration, governance, user access, and vendor coordination.
- Strong program ownership skills with the ability to drive adoption, training, communications, and stakeholder engagement across global organizations.
- Experience establishing and maintaining standards, processes, compliance requirements, and operational documentation to support scalable solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional relationships with business partners, suppliers, dealers, engineering teams, and external vendors.
- Strong analytical and operational mindset with experience using reporting, dashboards, audits, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location,job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
