The Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing communications programs that advance business priorities, strengthen brand visibility, and generate measurable demand. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this hands-on role will partner closely with marketing colleagues, sales, operations, technical subject matter experts, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling campaigns, content, and sales tools. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a proven ability to influence across teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing communications strategies, campaigns, and lead the annual medical device services marketing plan process aligned to business objectives, audience needs, and growth priorities.
  • Lead campaign planning from strategy through execution, including value proposition development, creative briefs, messaging, content mapping, activation plans, and performance measurement.
  • Create, edit, and manage high-impact content across channels, including web pages, email campaigns, paid media, sales enablement materials, thought leadership assets, presentations, social media, webinars, and event materials.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues, sales, technical SMEs, leadership, agencies, and external vendors to ensure cohesive messaging, strong execution, and alignment across target audience touchpoints.
  • Manage marketing automation, email marketing, lead nurturing, inbound lead processes, and lead scoring in partnership with sales and digital teams.
  • Plan and execute tradeshows, events, webinars, and promotional campaigns, including messaging, graphics, schedules, speaker coordination, and post-event follow-up in coordination with the marketing tradeshow specialist.
  • Own campaign performance tracking, KPI reporting, budget management, and optimization recommendations to improve engagement, lead generation, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Uphold brand standards and ensure consistent, compelling messaging across all marketing materials, digital channels in partnership with the marketing digital specialist, sales tools, and external communications.
  • Manage agency relationships, project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure work is completed on time, on brand, and aligned to business goals.


Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate
    • Has 8 to 10 years of progressive marketing communications experience, preferably in a B2B, technical, scientific, life sciences, medical device, biopharma, or regulated industry environment.
    • Brings a proven track record of developing campaigns that drive measurable engagement, demand generation, and qualified lead growth.
    • Combines strategic thinking with strong execution, moving confidently from planning and messaging through activation, measurement, and optimization.
    • Is a resourceful problem solver who can navigate ambiguity, remove barriers, and keep complex projects moving forward.
    • Influences effectively without authority by building trust, aligning stakeholders, and communicating recommendations with clarity and confidence.
    • Writes clearly and persuasively, with the ability to translate complex technical information into audience-focused marketing messages.
    • Works well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and accountability for deadlines.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, business, or a related field required.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in marketing communications, campaign management, demand generation, content marketing, or a related marketing role required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CRMs, and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience in life sciences, medical device, biopharma, laboratory services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, or another technical B2B environment preferred.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, and cross-functional marketing projects.


Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Location: East Coast & Midwest - Boston, MA; Lancaster, PA; Jacksonville, FL; St. Louis, MO; Remote options available
